The scope of this tribe is a little limited...only focusing on one psycho. Could we open it up to all serial killers? Just so we have more to talk about? Or any senseless crimes? I'm interested in Zodiac as much as anyone else, but it just seems to be rather narrow in scope.

Tue, April 13, 2004 - 9:13 AMWell, there is a True Crime tribe and there are also tribes for Jack the Ripper, the Black Dahlia Case, the Manson Family killings, Lizzie Borden, Forensic Sciences (which is really gross and fun, too)... you get the idea. I would say the True Crime tribe would be one place to go. We could also set up a separate Serial Killers Tribe if there's sufficient interest. Or even if there isn't. :-) -

I think a lot of it people don't want to be flamed for giving their opinions and theories that differ from others. I think if us moderators can make it clear that any and all theories are welcome, maybe more people will talk. But, tribe members have to contribute to the tribes also. As a moderator of a few I can assure you that I don't like being the only one to post on my tribe and hear crickets chirrup chirrup from everyone else. Then again, I don't want to trash the tribe because it's quiet. On top of that, I don't feel it's my responsibility to keep the members entertained if they aren't contributing also. I'll notice that there's nothing on a tribe for a while, then there's be a flurry of posts, then it'll die back down for awhile. What I've started doing is just scanning the tribe list on my page and chiming in when I see someone posting.
It's also hard not to take it personally when it seems like you are the only one posting. You post what you think is an interesting comment and, as Kaydie says, all you hear is crickets chirping. I guess I just nee to develop a thicker skin, huh? -

I agree with Eric also that it seems that people leave a bunch of messages in a tribe then it's quiet for awhile then it's get's another wave. I don't know as much about other cases and I follow this one the most so, that's why I made it Zodiac Killer Tribe, and of course there are all the the other tribes associated with other cases already.
